This Friday, May 5., 2023, we will be having an open minute event for Minute/Year at SPEKTRUM in Rumelange, Luxembourg. The interventions in the work during the event will come from Ahmed Radwan, the artistic director of BELONG — an international ensemble based in Esch, Luxembourg. Ahmed will combine Egyptian oud and violin with the one-minute automated drones of the work, adding a layer and a resonance to the work as it adapts to the spaces of SPEKTRUM — and will also be playing more songs afterwards, so there’s more than just one minute of sound. We will also be doing a short talk about the work and our history with it to date, and there will be food and drinks and witty repartee. Looking forward to it all.
